As we all know these things are getting difficult to find. —- this one came in stuck in 3rd gear .. upon disassembly i found a broken 3/4 fork. The rest of the transmission looked great — the syncros and hub/sliders and keys all look almost new …and has been refreshed prior as it has some obviously third party markings and labeling on various parts inside
that said we took the opportunity to replace the tapered roller bearings on both input and intermediate shaft with new oem bearings as well as a brand new oem 3/4 shift fork. the roll pins and end nuts were also replaced as is normal procedure. — Last but not least we shimmed it up tighter to help with longevity by reducing deflection and keeping the gears properly aligned under high loads.
I left the 2 spider diff in the transmission —- if the car will be used for racing it is recommended to upgrade to a 4 spider or welded center diff.
This transmission is a 97-99 ratio but can easily be made to work in a 95-96 by using a 97-99 ratio 14 turn transfer case (which we also have for sale separately.)
